Experience shaped my perspective
During nearly 25 years in education, I've built strong relationships with young people and their families. As a teacher, tutor and parent, I've seen children thrive — and struggle — in schools of every type. I've learnt that there is no single "best" school, only the school that's the right fit for each child. With school fees continuing to rise and young people's wellbeing more important than ever, I wanted to help families look beyond the obvious and feel confident that the school they choose is genuinely right for their child.
A fuller understanding
I've never been very good at accepting the polished version of a story. I'm much more interested in the everyday reality—the conversations, the experiences and the details that people remember long after they've left the school gates. Those are the voices I wanted Beyond the Prospectus to capture.
Why the right fit matters
Every child deserves the chance to flourish at school. I created Beyond the Prospectus to help families find not just a good school, but the right school for their child. A child spends too much of their life at school to leave the choice to chance.
